Book Page Noteholder

I love anything with words printed on it and because of that I love to make things from old books that are headed to the dumpster. I needed an organizer or business card holder for my desk so I decided to make my own.
i used an old beat up paper back book headed to the garbage and folded each page in half so that it looked like a half column when done. I left the covers in the original shape.
I then covered the cover of the book with drop cloth fabric. I just can't get enough of this fabric. I use it for everything.
I embellished the drop cloth with a couple of lace motifs and then ran a piece of button holing along each edge of the column. Now I have a place to hold all those business cards and notes that seem to get lost in the desk drawer.
I also made a second one to hang from a clipboard in our kitchen communication center. This one holds business cards, coupons and needed notes also. Love these little organizers - they make life so much neater and easier. You can find more details and pictures if you follow the URL below.
