Painting Sunny Adirondack Chairs

Painting Adirondack Chairs can be quite the challenge because of all the nooks and crannies! I always start with the chair upside down to be sure to spray much of the unseen underside. I think that will help the chair to weather the elements longer. I use spray primer first, then spray the base color on. It takes about one and one half cans of primer per chair and one and one half cans of yellow per chair. Not done yet because it can still be rough . Mix paint and glaze and brush on the last coat. Then do your detail painting and follow up with a coat of spray clear. You should probably repeat the clear spray every year. I have color details on my blog. Happy 4th of July! Deb
