Good to Know: A Simple Tip for Making the Bed

My daughter has been planning her room makeover for months. So it was very exciting when we finally painted her room and set up the bed. When we went shopping for bedding, we were able to get the quilt she wanted, but, we had to order the sheets.
They arrived just before she went on a trip, so I thought I'd surprise her and make her bed with the new sheets. As I turned the new black and white damask sheets back, I had to smile. She had already put the new sheets on her bed. But, I knew I would need to teach her this simple trick so that she could enjoy the beautiful pattern on her new sheets.
My daughter pictured the black and white damask sheets folded back, adding pattern and color to her bed.
However, I folded back the sheets to reveal the faded "wrong" side of the fabric. So, I took the sheet off and started over, with this trick in mind.
The trick? Put your flat sheet on print side down. When you fold it back, the pretty print shows over your quilt or comforter.
