HVAC Error Codes

Get Familiar with Your HVAC Error Codes to Avoid an Expensive Local Heating and Cooling Service
Most HVAC systems are designed to be reliable and durable; however, there are times when they fail. This usually happens due to lack of maintenance or abusive use. Luckily, most systems show signs of problems before they go completely haywire. By monitoring your HVAC, you may be able to identify these signs on time, thus preventing a rather expensive local heating and cooling service.
All systems can be fixed as long as the problem is troubleshot on time. However, some issues are harder to spot than others. For this particular reason, HVAC manufacturers have implemented an error system into their latest products. In other words, newer heating and cooling units are a lot easier to troubleshoot than older ones.
Each HVAC manufacturer uses its own set of error codes for their products. This means that in order to be able to troubleshoot a specific unit, you need to get familiar with the error codes of its manufacturer. You can find a list of all error codes for your device in your owners manual. Be advised, not all manufacturers list their error codes in the owners manuals. However, you can ask for a complete list of error codes from your local heating and cooling service provider.
