@Carol S It sounds as if you are doing everything you can. Plants often curl due to extreme heat to protect themselves from too much evaporation.

Is any other trees affected like Peach or any fruit trees? If it's just that isolated plant it probably a lack of water problem. It probably wouldn't be in the soil if it grew and leafed out just fine. I suspect a bacteria or mite problem.

I would dare say probably not enough water, but with the heat we have had, it might be that...

Could be spider mites. Check the undersides of leaves.

Our plants in our garden did that and a neighbor who is a bit older than us ;) told us that we were giving it too much water. He said do not water every day at the most every other day or if it is REALLY hot out the water daily but just a sprinkle enough to wet their whistle (LoL). He also said not to water during the hottest part of the day it burns the plant.

Many times a plant will curl due to extreme heat. This is a way for the plant to protect itself. If you have been diligent in watering then this is most likely the reason for curling leaves. My tomato plants are doing that right now.

@Cynde Synakowski That makes sence - the plant is in bloom right now & the flowers & scent are wonderful - similar to tall flox, I believe it to be called Spider Flowering plant.
