Black and White Fabric Lined Storage Boxes With French Graphic

I found these boxes literally in a Dumpster. They were in good condition, but definitely needed an update and some TLC. I painted the outside with CeCe Caldwell's Beckley Coal and Vintage White and lined the interior with a fun, modern Toile. #‎LookForLess‬
You would never believe these boxes actually came from a dumpster! I was so thrilled with the makeover.
The boxes had great details as you can see on the top. The paint was chipping and the floral inset was a bit dated. Definitely in need of a makeover.
I painted the circles in CeCe Caldwell's Vintage White then used the French Grain Graphic from The Graphics Fairy. Details on what transfer method I used are on my blog.
I used a fabric adhesive and some cute gimp trim to line the insides. Now the boxes have an entirely new life! I had quite a stash of both the fabric and the trim. I was happy to be able to use them up.
What a difference some paint made! And all it cost me was a little paint and time.

Maybe you should have just left the stupid, beautiful, ugly, cheap, expensive, hand painted, pasted paper, real wood, hand carved, crap wood pieces of crap from Big Lots, right in the dumpster and by now they would be in that big landfill in somebody's neighbourhood instead of in some nice ladies house, and no one would be the wiser. Hmmmmmmmm.........

These are gorgeous wish I had found them. Love the french look you gave them. Refreshing old junk like these literally saved my life after I was laid off after 20 years. I felt alone and grief stricken then one day I found an old entry table and decided to refinish it. It was bad folks but I made her beautiful again with chalk paint something I had never even heard of. I loved it and this piece became more important than sulking. I have been at it for awhile now but do not post anything due to possible negativity I am not ready for that yet. Love this site it is great that people are willing to share their talent. May it always be so.
