  • Yard art recycling. 17
  • I received an email asking about the water, close up of the beads used to make the water, from Michaels in the section that has the fake plants. These are plastic with a hole in them to string on thin picture hanging wire. 3

Yard Art, Recycling

Keeping junk out of the landfill. So I have finally run out of clay pots and have moved on to the next best thing. Coffee cans, soup cans, paint cans, teapots, chandelier parts and even anchovy cans for the feet. Meet my newest garden helper.

Adding interesting junk to your flower gardens!

Two rusty cream cans, three vintage farm tools, an old heating stove, a distressed chair, a cracked old crock, a buggy wheel, Dutch wooden shoes, an enamelware coffeepot, a futon back ...»
painted white, a star birdhouse, and two cowbells, are all leaning against this outside wall of my house, or in and among the creeping thyme, sedums, hostas, and lady's mantle. http://www.organizedclutterqueen.blogspot.co...

Kitchen

We DIY'd out kitchen using inexpensive products and a lot of paint! Visit www.beforemeetsafterblog.com for the UGLY befores and more information on how we remodeled our island for under ...»
$50! We completed the remodel in stages. We gutted the coutertops and old backsplash. We hauled away the stuff ourselves to save money and reused parts of the old countertops for a workspace in the basement. We shopped around for the best price on granite, saved and paid for that. A few weeks later, we shopped again for the best deal on tile and purchased that. We waited until our wall oven was 50% off at Sears to purchase that and we're still holding out on the cooktop and dishwasher until we can get the best deal. If you're on a budget, you have to be patient! We sat on that look for a few weeks until deciding what to do with the island. We purchased a few sheets of beadboard, reused the existing trim, and painted the island with leftover paint and glaze. We even spray painted light fixtures and hardware to save money!

Fire Pit Deck

We are putting the finishing touches on this paver deck. We made the chairs out of pallets. The fire pit table top was also made from pallets. We love the idea of being able to convert the fire pit into a table when it is not in use. The bench seating was made from left over materials that we used to make a retaining wall in the front of our house. I am looking forward to adding the finishing touches and being able to enjoy conversation around a cozy fire during cooler weather.

Leftover pots and grandaughters old bike become a place to keep garden supplies. Not as fancy as the other pot people bikes but I am a quirky perswon so it works for me.
