About Me:

I love working on my decor and making old things look new again. My style is eclectic but I love cottage and country.

Favorite area of home improvement:

My kitchen. I have painted the cabinets, added hardwood flooring and tiled the counters and backsplash. We had to do the most affordable options for update and I'm happy with the results.

  • Use something as a guide to measure equal distance between stones. Here I used a trowel.
  • Take a shovel, or your trowel, and sculpt out the shape of your stone.

A Quicker and Easier Way to Stepping Stones

I recently read somewhere about a quick way to make stepping stones and decided to try it. The more I thought about what I read, I realized I could do it even 'quicker and easier'. So I did.

Concrete Garden Path

We made this garden walkway with a mold that we purchased at Lowe's. We mixed the Quickcrete up and then poured it into the mold a section at a time. It was almost like making mud pies. It was a bit time consuming but we were very happy with the end result. It has held up very well as it has been down now for about 3 years.

  • Here is another view of this Bright White Epoxy and Urethane flooring.

Bright White epoxy and urethane floors are being installed in Lofts and Condos. What do you think?

These floors are so reflective, they just light-up the spaces we install them within. They are super low maintenance and easy to keep clean.

Reclaimed wood flooring made from pallets and such

So I'm not cool enough to post a cool pallet project like so many other Hometalkers have done. But this is almost as cool - I happened across this amazing flooring made from pallets, shipping crates and other used wood. It looks fantastic and seems to be pretty well-liked:
