Easy Placemat Pillow

I found two outdoor, water resistant placemats at a discount store and turned them into outdoor pillows instead! I think I spent a whopping $8 for two pillows when all is said and done.
The bright colors bring life to our old Adirondack chairs. I love looking out and seeing the splash of color and having something cozy to soften the stiff backs of the chairs.
The placemats are the same on both sides and are made of two separate pieces of fabric. This method will only work with this kind of placemat.
Using a seam ripper and a pair of sharp scissors, I opened one side of the placemat. I stuffed it with pillow stuffing but if you want something more water resistant you can find outdoor pillow inserts at craft stores. I always take my pillows in when the forecast calls for rain so I'm not worried.
