Recycle a Garden Fence Into a Fun Bulletin Board or Jewelry Organizer

You can turn garden accessories like small fences and trellises into charming and handy wall and window decorations with just a few materials and some imagination!
I turned out old garden fence into a pretty and oh-so-useful jewelry organizer, but it can also be used as a earring display or bulletin board, with or without a cork board backing.
The previous owners of our house left behind this wire fencing with this wonderful rusted surface. I loved the shape of the fencing pieces, but didn't want to use it in our yard. Instead, I redesigned these fence pieces into a handy clipboard or bulletin board and a jewelry display for my bedroom.
Our fence was free, but home improvement stores and garden centers offer a number of garden accessories that provide great options for making decorations for your home, office, bedroom, or dorm room.
The supplies are quite basic, depending on what you want to make with your fence piece. What pulled my jewelry display together was finding some beautiful scrap fabric to cover my cork board. This ikat design in greens and blues really makes this display board a stunner! Love this! The curved shape is so trendy and I was racking my brain for something that already incorporates it.
