We had to take down a tree that had a tree house in it. I kept 2 of the posts from the tree house and put bird houses on them. I put the bird feeder on top of where the tree was. I had beautiful Hostas around the tree but they had to be moved..... way too much sun there now. To me the bird houses (one just fell down) look like they were just stuck up there. Not too pretty. Please give me ideas what to do with that space now and the 2 posts. I figured if anybody would know what to do it would be all of you.... :)

If you plant climbing vines on those posts they'll look less bare. You could also add more of them so you have more of cluster, and then plant shrubs underneath.

did essentially the same thing. I have peony bushes where the tree was and intermixed with iris and several other plants that are permanent but bloom at different times thro-out the summer.. Tulips , crocus, and daffidills would also be planted around the peony plants and be the first to bloom and several other plants according to the time they bloom are perfect fill-ins...

If the posts are strong enough I would put a post across the top of the two and put a small two sided roof over it and put a swing under it. There could be sun loving flowers around the bottom of the posts to enjoy.
