DIY Sheepskin Stool

You can’t walk through a furniture store right now without stumbling over a sheepskin stool. They are the décor trend of the moment, and they’re everywhere. But these fabulously fuzzy stools aren’t cheap!
You could pay $350 for this awesome Anthropologie sheepskin stool. Or, you could make it yourself for less than $100 in about ten minutes! Here’s how:
1. Flip the Rug Upside Down

Flip the rug so the “furry” side is facing down. Tip: Pick a room where you have a lot of space. You want to be able to comfortably walk around all sides of the upside down rug and bench.
2. Place Stool Upside Down on the Rug

Take the stool and flip it on its head. Set the top of the stool in the center of the upside down rug. You want the legs facing up.
3. Attach the Rug to the Stool

Using your upholstery nails and a hammer, attach the rug to the bottom of the stool one side at a time. The amount of fabric you nail to the stool will depend on the size of your rug –simply pull enough over the side to make sure the rug is taut and secure each time you add a new nail.
4. Flip the Stool Right-Side Up and Style

Flip your stool. It’s done! Use pillows and blankets to style the stool, or leave it as is.
