Recycling Tomato Cans Into Shabby Twine Holders

This was one of the simplest projects that had a very pretty outcome, while also recycling.
My bakers twine rolls were constantly getting tangled up in the basket I stored them in, so I came up with this simple solution.
A couple of empty tomato cans, which were destined for the recycle bin, just happened to be the perfect size to hold a roll of bakers twine.
I punched holes in the side of the cans to thread a wire hanger through and another in the base for the twine to be threaded through.
Pretty scrapbook papers glued to the outside and a sweet little tag make my twine holder 'shabbilicious'.
One's doubling as a vase for roses this week, but next week I suspect I'll be making a few more of these shabby twine holders, so all my twines can hang up and remain tangle free.

Very cute! I am thinking this would also make a great can for yarn while crocheting or knitting. Just hang from a hook.
