Tired of grilling on gravel, we finally broke down and decided to create a more pleasing area. After much debate and input from fellow Hometalkers, this is the end result and I couldn't be happier!
Area is 9 x 7 and already had a solid gravel base that we framed in with leftover wood from another project and then covered with 2 inches of sand
Our measurements were off which meant we had to cut the bricks to fit, so we laid out each row, leaving alternating ends blank so we didn't wind up with a finished row of cut pieces..
It was suggested that we lay PermaSand----which was also on sale--- in all the joints, spray lightly with water and allow to set for 72 hours. We need to get more sand and are debating if we should fill in all the grooves or just the ones around each piece---what do you think?
