I don't know of a tutorial...but I wind my thread/tassel material around a couple thicknesses of cardboard [width according to the length of tassel desired], & wrap until you get the desired thickness of the completed tassel. Then I tie the 'top' of the tassel about 1- 1 1/2" below the top of the tassel 'top' to secure the strands [do both sides] & twist several strands of the tassel material together & slip it between the cardboard & the strands & secure it at the 'top'. Then cut the bottom of the tassels & pull the whole thing away from the card board & take a strand or two of the tassel material & tie the 2 bundles of strands together into 1 full tassel [pulling the very ends inside the tassel with a fine crochet hook]
