Painted E-A-T Sign

I have recently been working on merchandising the area above our kitchen cabinets but, found it hard to find anything that I actually liked for it. So, I set out to make my own decor for that area and this is one more part to that little venture.
I have seen lots of E-A-T signs and wanted one for my kitchen but, most are way too big for the area or have or not at all blendable with my decor.
While at Old Tyme Pottery one day my hubby challenged me to buy three of these plates and come up with something to make with them. So, I took the challenge. Needless to say they sat for awhile waiting for some kind of inspiration to hit me. Sometimes that can take a while.
Then one day when I was picking up a couple craft items at Wal-Mart I ran across this stencil by Folk Art and just had to have it - not knowing at all what I was going to do with it. And, it sat for a while.
One night I woke up in the middle of the night and had this idea formed in my head of what to do with those plates. That's how I work - most of the time. The idea forms while I sleep and then in the middle of the night I have to get up and sketch it out. Anyway, the idea was this little blue chevron E-A-T sign to hang up over the cabinets. I am so in love with it. For more details see the link to the post at the bottom of the page.
