Nothing wrong with the wood, just the wrong color for the room.
Any suggestions? May I send a picture?
solid wood. I want change it to another wood color, don't want to paint it. The wood grain is nice.

definitely the wrong color.. I would stain it with a dark walnut if it was mine to go along with other pieces of my furniture. but otherwise I thin maybe a shade of blue or green with a bit of antiquing...do you get what I am talking about???

they make so many different colored stains now, are you leaving the walls yellow? If so I'd go with a darker stain and maybe a pop of color on the insides of those shelves.

Just go find a little bit darker shade and try staining it! It will be very pretty!

Definitely don't forget to change the door pulls to really make it pop! It's a beautiful piece, can't wait to see it finished!

It would be very easy to get some of that rub on gel varnish with a tint if you can find it. Stain this very dark and then find a pretty wallpaper that is your style to put on the back of the shelves. If you prefer, a flat black paint will completely transform this and make it pop!
