How can I create a fountain out of an old milking machine & milk can?

We found a milking machine and an old milk can that was used by my family years ago and I would love to incorporate the pieces as a waterscape into my flower garden but need some how to advise.

I think I would take the milking machine and hang from a metal/steel pole and run the tubes down into the milk can. Making this look like milk (actually water running through the tubes that has been colored white) being poured into the milk can. It will still sound like running water. Really cool find!

get a small submersible pump, we used a couple of old fish tank pumps!
