Moroccan Table Makeover

I feel very lucky to have landed this awesome Moroccan table for FREE! I was so excited to refinish it and put it in my living room. It started out pretty rough looking though.
It has a gunky old cherry varnish on it. It has worn off in some places. It was otherwise in great shape. The lid opens to a little storage area, where I'm now keeping my planner and shelter magazines.
I stained and painted it then added a little gold nail head detail.
