I had a couple that were dirty, but not water spotted. I set it in the sink, wet with cold water, put Dawn liquid on a soft brush and just vigorously scrubbed it. Mine were beige. Then I rinsed it thoroughly, sat it on a over sized bath towel and got it 95% dry by just pressing the towel on the shade. Both turned out GREAT!
