How to Create a DIY Tranquil Water Fountain

I love the elements fire and water. Ive been working on a patio makeover and a water feature is a must have for me. I tried doing this many years ago using 2 large Terra Cotta pots. I turned one upside down and used it as a base and the other I sat on top of it to create the fountain bowl. I achieved the look was going for however it turned out to be a disaster. The terra cotta pots are porous and the fountain literally sweated all the time. This time I figured it would be best to use plastic planters!
Creating this Indoor/Outdoor fountain is so easy and inexpensive.

I purchased all of my components from Lowes, with the exception of the rocks.

You can find the fountain kit in the garden center. I was able to purchase it at my local Lowes for just under $20. The fountain kit comes with everything you need to turn your planter into a water feature.
Step 1: Drill a hole in the planter just large enough to thread the power cord through.

Step 2: Knead Epoxy and apply it to both the inside and outside of the planter to plug and cover the hole.

Step 3: Allow for 2hrs setting time.
Once epoxy has set, fill with landscaping rocks, water and enjoy!!
