Thrifty Copper Pipe Curtain Rod

I hate the expensive price tag that comes with large curtain rods, but I wanted something to go over my big bedroom window. I have been loving everything copper lately, so I used an inexpensive copper pipe as a curtain rod! The entire look cost under $50 - that's the cost of the curtain rod, caps, brackets, AND the curtains themselves!
Add caps to the ends to finish off the look. The caps cost around $1 a piece.
Perfect for a large window like this one! If you would buy a rod this size in stores, it could easily cost over $100!
The whole look (curtain rod, brackets, curtain panels) cost under $50!

Love it but you can also use PVC pipe and paint it any color. We used it as a lamp post and painted it to match the house.

@Barb C I was going for pvc also when my favorite Home Depot person suggested the metal conduit pipes...... the pvc for a large window will sag unless you put supports up in between.................... I did not want to spend the extra money and do all that work.......... lol.
