The Master In Our Domain

One of the greatest Seinfeld episodes ever...Master of His Own Domain. Am I right? In our house, here at the Heathered Nest, we had a similar problem. We were *NOT* masters of our own domain (but not in the Seinfeldian way). Here's why. THIS was the master in our domain. "Is this a joke?" you ask. I'm afraid not. In fact it gets worse.
Here's part deux. Quite obviously, we were not in control here. This place was beating us down, BADLY. I know some of you may LOVE this look. Cool. We just didn't care for it.
Not even a little bit.
Originally, the master bedroom in our 1950's Cape Cod was comprised of the above two, separate rooms. With a baby on the way, we needed to make room upstairs for his arrival. That's when we decided to combine these spaces on the main level of the home into one, larger master suite.

We knocked a large opening between these spaces, and by combining the spaces, we were able to triple the amount of closet space we originally had, which is a big plus in a master bedroom!
WANNA SEE WHAT WE DID?
Here's a bit of it...
