Meet Amelia, the Dresser

Painted Therapy
by Painted Therapy
I named this piece for Amelia Earhart. I hope it reminds the person who uses it to soar and never stop reaching for their dreams.
She started as this sad dresser. My friend saw it on the side of the road and thought of me. Don't you love friends like that?!?
I added trim to the bottom and top to give it more definition. Then I used a projector to create the biplane silhouette. I created my own red and white chalk paint and went to town.
Because the red is so pigmented, I hand painted the silhouette separate from the base (in the past I usually just went over the base color).
