Antique Roll Top Desk Makeover With Miss Mustard Seed Milk Paint

$45
My old roll top desk that has been in my family for about 40 years. I love it, but it has had some deep stains in the wood that sanding would not remove.
Rather than live with the stains, I decided it was finally time to give it a makeover. I didn't want to detract from the parts of the desk that were still beautiful, so I only painted portions of the desk, using Miss Mustard Seed Milk Paint.
While it looked beautiful at that point, the 2 front panels just seemed to need a little extra "something" to add more character to the desk.
Visit the Knick of Time blog to see up close photos of what I added inside those panels to give it 1800's style! It was exactly what this old desk needed! It is truly a one-of-a-kind desk now, yet it retains its original beauty!
I replaced the original knobs with these vintage style drawer pulls. (source listed in blog post - only $2.50 each!)

Many free vintage style labels are available from Knick of Time, so you can print your own as well!
