DIY Countryside Folk Art

I found so much great inspiration at the Omaha Summer Arts Festival. I'm always drawn to folk art. Jennifer Cavan's booth was such a wonderful blast of color and design.
Though her paintings were more detailed, I thought I would experiment with color, texture, light and shadow in a simple line barn, field, and sky composition.
Hope you try it! It will be a little slice of country on your wall.
So here are some colors that I used and brush and cardstock application ideas.
Also, keeping a shadow on the right and light on the left adds some interest too.
