Home decor trends have been strongly rooted in geometric shapes and patterns for a while now. We adore this trend, even for our own homes. The lines are clean, bold and simple. It's a great way to make a room feel current and well dressed. Even if it is just some geometric patterned throw pillows!
This quick DIY is a great way to dive into a current trend with little expense. The beauty of it is you only have to do one wall, and randomness in pattern makes it easier AND more visually appealing. It kind of makes you feel like a kid again!

First step is to tape off the edges, so that the ceiling, trim, and other walls remain unscathed.

Next, we created even segments by taping vertical lines. It's simple! Measure the width of the wall, and then divide :)
We used a weighted string to make sure that gravity aided us in making straight lines.

Now for the random fun of randomness! Get creative! We thought this pattern felt like a geometric representation of tree branches. Love it!

Now for the paint! Just roll it on.

Remove the tape while the paint is still wet, so that the lines remain clean.

The options and ideas are limitless. Check out this other wall Samantha did in her hallway. So cute!!
Thanks for checking out what we are zesting!
