Luau Hawaiian Tropical Canoe Ice Table Party Decoration

This was made for an anniversary party with a Tropical theme. We needed to have a tropical feel place to put the cold drinks and fruit kabobs without the drip or mess. Our neighbor had a canoe we filled it with Dollar Store oblong swim floaties then dumped iced on top and tucked the drinks on one side and the cold food on the other.
It was put on a strong table and framed out in a grass skirts bought from the $ store. You have to prop up the canoe slightly with blocks of wood or concrete to make it tilt up for serving. 6 bamboo poles were secured in Dollar Store pots with florist grass. We poured plaster of paris or you could use quick drying concrete to make it heavy and supportive. we connected it by 1x4 boards all the way around and stapled the grass skirts all the way around and added some cute tropical themed lights. It was a great focal point and helped with the theme of the party. Easy to put up and take down!
