Bed frame broke

Question

Our bed frame broke and we really don't have the money to buy another one. We are sleeping on our mattresses on the floor. Any suggestions on how to uplift our beds?

put a shout out to Freecycle.com. It's a yahoo group that you have to join but I find all kinds of things AND give things away all the time... and when my bed frame broke, I found one on Freecycle.

Put mattress and box spring if you have that too...raised up on cinder blocks

If you do use the cinder blocks, be sure to put some under the middle of the bed, not just the corners. With all the weight on the mattress, the whole thing needs to be supported.

Drill holes with a drill and thread like tennis shoes with a thick gage wire

Pallets would work well or they sell bed frames at goodwill really cheap.

Car jacks! under the bottom and top (not on the sides, you'll stump your toes). This works put under just the bottom for people who need to elevate their feet. I bought a set specifically for that.
