Faux Plank Wall

I love the look of plank walls, but didn't want to spend a lot of money in the tiny upstairs half bath at our mountain cottage. We ended up using 4" wide hardboard for the planks and just glued them to the wall with construction adhesive. You can read more below:
We started the plank wall above the countertop in the half bath and continued up to the ceiling.
We used some scrap pieces of hardboard to space the boards from each other.
We purchased a half sheet of hardboard at our local home improvement center. After cutting them into 4" wide strips, we painted them them a light grey. If you don't have a table saw at home, Lowe's or Home Depot will cut the hardboard for you. All you need is some construction adhesive to glue the planks on the wall.
