How to Use a Paper Punch as a Stencil

I don't use paper punches very often, so I don't buy many of them, but I wanted to dress up some of my decoupaged book page wall art, and when I spotted a pretty doily lace paper punch, I knew it would look beautiful!
For the best results, I punched the design on a manila envelope, rather than regular paper, so when I painted over the design, the paint wouldn't seep through the paper. It makes for a very inexpensive stencil that is disposable once you're finished painting.
Creating wall art with book pages is so easy, and adding this pretty edge really dresses it up.
