Mosaic Garden Stump

Here is a fun project and a nice side table for your backyard fire pits. I used Mosaic tiles and glass beads from the craft store. It is glued with mosaic tile glue and sealed in grout. The stump was given a coat of polyurethane to seal.
Decorated stump for garden end table.

Did you need to dry the stump

out first, if so how did you do it? Did the poly urethane do the trick? Do you also Polly over the mosaic?

I have a large tree trunk/stump and I want to mosaic a dragon on one side of it. I'd like to leave the bark on around the mosaic, so that the dragon looks like it is rising up and out of the trunk. Can I leave the bark on and seal it with polyurethane? Will that work or do I have to remove bark to seal?

Could you tell us what the name of the glue is and if it is water soluble?

@Teri I used a product called Mosaic Mercantile adhesive. I got it at Hobby Lobby. The Website for the product is www.MosaicMercaantile.com. It is water soluble. It is a very good adhesive for mosaics and has held up in all type of weather outdoors for two years now.
