DIY Kitchen Island Makeover

We have been in the process for over a year at remodeling our kitchen. After mold completely destroyed our old kitchen we are almost at the end of the remodel. We only have a few items left, one of them being repainting the kitchen island. I painted the island a color that I completely loved, once dried, I stood back and realized it was horrible. With the help of wonderful readers I found the perfect color for the island. What a difference color can make!
We went with the Benjamin Moore Iron Mountain, it goes perfectly with all those neutral and warm colors that are in the kitchen, exactly what was needed!
This was the first color I tried, such a gorgeous color on it's own. Once the island was painted I knew immediately it needed to be changed. It was in desperate need of warm color.
So much better!
A few years back, we took our microwave and installed it into the island so we could have the double oven for entertaining.
5 years ago we took out the bookshelves, added legs and trimmed the island out to make it look like a piece of furniture, what a difference!
Come see how we painted the island to give it a whole new look.

Beautiful job! Can I ask where you got the legs for the island and what are the dimensions of your island? Can you fit a stool under the end of the island?
