Vintage Gray Chest of Drawers
by
The Painted Drawer by Suzanne Bagheri
(IC: blogger)
I found this lovely vintage dresser and decided to give it a brighter look. The veneer was peeling off and it was in bad shape. I used General Finishes Milk Paint in the color Seagull Gray to give it new life. I did not use a sealer or topcoat as I wanted the paint to look aged without the finish a topcoat adds.
Here is the before pic. You can see the great details.
After repairing the veneer with wood filler, I applied two coats of milk paint.
I painted it to really allow the vintage detail to pop. The contrast of the light and dark do this. I also distressed it in places to highlight the detail.
A beautiful vintage piece for the modern home!
