Spicy Rhubarb Sauce

Rhurbarb tends to be an abundant fruit in many home gardens. Besides combining it with strawberries in pie and jam, there has to be other ways to use it up. This spicy rhubarb sauce was born of the desire to do something different with it.
It's easy to make too. Simply chop rhubarb, add some sugar, some spices, and water and put it all in the crockpot until soft enough to puree.
Puree until smooth and cook in the crockpot (with the lid off) until a thick sauce forms. This sauce can then be canned for frozen for future use. Use in yogurt, oatmeal, even homemade BBQ sauce.
