Vinyl Siding on a Pool Side Veranda

Wood's Home Maintenance Service
by Wood's Home Maintenance Service
Our clients built the structure but were not sure how to install the vinyl siding or even what options were available in vinyl.
After showing them some samples they chose a dutchlap siding and a beaded ceiling panel. The same beaded panel was used to trim out the inside of the support beams. We had to add a little framing to prepare for the siding and soffit which also made the beams look beefier.
The addition of this pool side veranda changed an unused corner of the pool deck into a cool inviting retreat. Their dog is confident this was built just for him!

With installing a vinyl siding, do you nail it in with the wood or what type of materials were used make the siding stick with the wood? A vinyl siding installation is what I'm thinking about installing over the shed that my father is building for me. The thing would be to know just what type of tools to use for the project. http://www.standardroofing.net/vinyl_siding.html
