TV Storage Stand

This project was built out complete necessity. Our little girl was ruining our TV by constantly hitting it with things and I wasn't a fan of her standing so close to TV anyway. So, I came up with a plan to raise the TV out of her reach without mounting the TV to the wall. The plus with this build was that it is also functional with a place for storage for remotes and DVDs. This TV storage stand raised the TV up and created a great little place to store remotes.
Here's the before. The TV used to sit on the actual media cabinet, but that was way to close, so I moved it up with some wood boxes I had laying around. This worked, but it was a complete eyesore! So, I knew I had to make something a little bit prettier :)
All it takes to build the actual box is 5 pieces of wood. To make the cutouts for the doors, just use a jigsaw and cut away.
Here's the box complete and ready for the doors. I decided to just make one of the doors actually functioning, and the other two are just fake ones. You can make all of them functioning and any size if you want.
This raised the TV up by about 9 more inches from where it sat on the TV Cabinet.
And here's the functioning door.

Is the tv secured in some way so it doesn't tip over? It is very pretty?

@Kathy Bever yes you are so correct, the most important thing is to secure ANY TV to the wall behind it even if you think it is too high for littlies to touch! where there is a will there will be a way! Looks very pretty but make sure you have it so there is no way possible for it to fall forward (even if it doesn't look as pretty) all TV's in any house should be attached to the wall behind or attached securely to the table (dresser/ counter) it sits on .... if it can tip forward it can crush what ever is in it's path ..... once again the little white drawers are a really good idea as I am forever looking for the remote :)
