Repurposed Record Stand Become Planter in a Country Garden

I found this old record stand and thought...why not make a plant stand! It took a bit of shopping around until I found a cedar window box that fit perfectly. This year I spray painted the stand a soft pink to match the pink tone in our Indiana limestone home siding and added pink begonias. I intermingled small herbs and added two small American Flags for a July 4th touch. This piece sits on our sidewalk next to our driveway against a raised brick planter and greets our family and friend when they come to visit.
A recycled record stand turned plant stand repurposed by White Oak Studio Designs greets visitor and grows herbs at The Small House Under a Big Sky. I feel quite lucky to find a cedar window box that is scaled to fit the exact opening.
The plant stand sits on the left hand side of this image near our front door entry sidewalk and trellis. The sunflower is a "found flower" apparently dropped here by the songbirds. I decided to leave it as a bright splash of color.
A cheerful sunflower spread by the birds grows out of the end of the window box turned plant stand.
