Budget Bathroom Makeover

Our small, main bathroom is one of the first things you see when you walk in our house and was dark and dreary. I decided to make this bathroom light, bright and inviting for us and for our guests, and for well under $100, it's now one of my favorite rooms in our house. I never thought I'd say that about a BATHROOM!
We undertook a fairly large renovation a few years back and replaced the ugly builders grade tile with VERY inexpensive tile from the home improvement store. It immediately lightened up the space and gave it a more timeless look.

This room only sees good sunlight for about an hour or two a day, so to maximize the light, we painted the walls white, and I bought a lightweight, white eyelet shower curtain so that any light from the only window, which is in the shower, can stream into the space.
To finish it off, I added some inexpensive shelving, thrifted, vintage light fixture, and towel racks that I created for around $10.
All of the tutorials and sources for this project can be found in the original post on my blog.
