Painted Tree Stump Table!

I needed a little table for the screen porch and decided to use part of a tree stump from a river birch that we had to have cut down. I so hate to have a tree cut down so drying them out and using the wood makes me happy! xo
The pups and I (and The Husband & Reba-the-Cat) start every day on the porch. I needed a little table to hold my coffee. I decided to use a wood stump and dip it in froth, or at least I wanted it to LOOK like it was dipped in froth!
The river birch stump has been drying under a covered porch for about 10 months. You can sometimes find tree stumps that are dried out at places that sell firewood.
First I took the bark off using a putty knife.
Then sanded the stump smooth.
I used exterior paint in a creamy white - (Behr MARQUEE Cameo White-which is my new favorite shade of white).
I only applied 1 coat so I can still see just-a-bit of the wood grain peeking through.
This is actually how I start my day. Three little pups on the love seat with me getting a sliver of the couch to stretch out on. Perfection now that I have my sweet tree stump table to hold my cuppa! Thanks for checking out my project friends xo

I think it needs some type of top, maybe glass. If you used glass you could add leaves under the glass. I use mine to put flower pots on.

I just saw a wooden circular tabletop sold at Home Depot-I saw it on this site. If you'd like the link I'll send it.

@Polly Zieper I'm going to buy the tabletop and wish I had a tree stump to use as a base:)
