Transforming our dining room has been fun. This is the latest project. I found this china hutch through Craigslist. I was inspired by both Charles Faudree and Annie Sloan in creating the room and the patina on the hutch.
The completed hutch
I love the lines to this hutch - here's the before and the after
I love the lines and curves to the doors of this hutch
I layered blue, gray and lavender on the inside of the hutch
I used dark gray to emphasize the details of the hutch
Our new china hutch in our blue dining room - I layered grays and blues and finished with a dry brushed layer of old white. For the inside I focused on blues, lavender and silver. I will be changing out what's stored inside from season to season - right now I'm enjoying the creamware, ironstone and teapots.
