A New Look!

I got tired of looking at my boring oak chairs and decided they needed a new look. I had read a tutorial on painting chairs with spray paint and decided to give it a go. My look is country farmhouse so I wanted a distressed look. I don't care for chalk paint so I decided to distress by hand.
After: I think it shows off my plant a lot better now. How about you? I plan to do this on all of my dining room chairs too.
Before: I have grown tired of the business of oak grain and wanted a new look with some character.
After: First I cleaned the chair to remove any dirt or dust. Then I used a can of Rust-Oleum Ultra Cover Paint + Primer - Navajo White and painted the the entire chair. After letting it dry (24 hours is suggested) I took heavy grit sandpaper and gave it some character.

Very beautiful, Nancy- love the distressed look and you do it so well. It takes talent to do it artistically. I hope to try it on my dining room chairs.
