Question

I got a great deal on a Berkey and Gay bed. I now want to paint 2 dressers to match. My problem is that there is a flower pattern on the headboard and I cannot paint. I want to paint a dresser and bedside table to match. I read somewhere that they took a picture of the pattern, then copied it on photo paper and were able to use that as a transfer to the fabric. Is there a technique to do this process onto the painted wood surface? Thanks to all advice in advance.

You could decoupage the photo onto the wood.

Take a photo of the pattern & upload to computer. Use blockposters.com to create a giant stencil (you can choose size) OR have it enlarged at your local photocopy store. I like to use graphite paper (found at craft stores) to trace pattern. Will transfer to wood very easily. Paint! Voila!
