Old Buckets & a Wine Barrel

Easy
A look at my stacked galvanized bucket and tubs planter over the seasons.

I made a stacked galvanized bucket and tub planter a couple years ago. I have replanted it seasonally and it never ceases to bring me pleasure.

It started with an ugly old stump and some holey buckets and tubs.

Freshly planted it looked a bit sparse but it soon filled in.

In the early Spring I plant violas, they survive any late frosts and bring bright color to a barren garden.

This summer I moved some of the buckets to my back deck and added them to a half wine barrel. Come on over to my website to see more.

Next I will try to make a fountain out of some of my old buckets.

Did you drill holes in the bottom for drainage, or what did you use?

Sorry if I am dense and missing something. Where is the old stump? I have an old stump and I was looking for some ideas. Thanks
