Salvia-the Garden's Spring Through Summer Bloomer

Salvia is one of my must haves in the garden. This spring through summer bloomer is a great companion to other beauties in any garden. Salvia, in my experiences, is not a stand alone flower but one that enjoys being nestled in with coneflowers, sedum, and rudbeckia, iris, and daylilies.
Lyrical blues salvia {salvia nemerosa 'lyrical blues'} and May Night {salvia sylvestia 'may night'} are 2 that I add to my beds because they are true garden performers. I do nothing special with them and that includes cutting them back. I know this goes against what the tag says and what the master gardener will do.
I am not about working more in the garden...
I am about working with nature and enjoying the beauty...
