Inexpensive And Unexpected Items To Store Your Craft Supplies
I have had this IKEA bookcase for 26 years and it has been used to store many different items in several rooms in the different homes that we have lived in. It was originally bought for our older daughter's room when she was just born to store and display her baby books and trinkets and stuffies. Now it is the perfect thing to store my craft supplies. I paid about $50.00 for it and it still looks like new!
It's so nice to have a stash of craft supplies available to use when the creative bug hits! But it isn't fun rummaging through the supplies when they are disorganized and difficult to find. Photo boxes are used to store narrow ribbon, scrapbooking stickers and embellishments. The dollar store is a treasure trove of baskets to store craft scissors and wax crayons or even your craft punches.
Dollar store drinking glasses are used to store a collection of pens, highlighters and markers. You can just take a glass or individual ones you want to work with. They are super easy to see and find what you are looking for.
Cover sturdy boxes with self-adhesive white paper and decorate with ribbon and embellishments to make your own inexpensive storage containers. I made these ones from Christmas card boxes.
I converted this picnic carryall bag into storage for spray paint cans.
