How to clean vintage chrome chairs that have been outside.

My newly purchased vintage chrome and vinyl chairs are weathered from water spots to bird residue. What's the best way to shine them up again?

On chrome, I've had success with WD40 and fine grade steel wool. Spray a workable size area with the WD40 and rub with a piece of steel wool. Rub with a clean rag to remove the residue and steel wool flecks.

Lacquer thinner and fine steel wool will take all rust and spots off of chrome and make it look like new

Try using a piece of loosely balled up piece of aluminum foil that is dipped in water and rub it on the chrome-it is an old restorer's trick.
