Den Decor: A Fun Gallery Wall

To finish up my den, I created a fast, fun, and frugal gallery wall above the piano. I also updated the stuffy, boring frames with paint and washi tape for a colorful new look. Vintage flashcards are a new favorite addition.
The vintage flashcards are hung with 3M poster hangers and embellished with washi tape. I find the washi tape not quite strong enough to hold by itself. Even Mozart got a new necklace, just to add a little fun.
Proof that gallery walls can be fast, and frugal if you use what you have and have fun with it!
The mirror and frames match this sweet little cabinet on the opposite wall.

Question, my living room has paneling. ..brown. How can I brighten up that room?
  • Kdgjll, I would recommend priming and painting the paneling white. If that's not an option make sure you have plenty of lighting, both overhead and lamps, and keep your wall art light and bright. A strategically placed mirror to reflect either window light or another light would work too.
