Easy DIY Tutorial for Small Ladder for Storage
by

My daughter needed some storage in a small guest bath. We liked look of using a vintage ladder for towels and hanging baskets. So, we made one!
Easy DIY vintage style ladder using old tobacco stakes from my grandparents' farm.
Using two similar stakes for the uprights, I used a third stake to cut into rungs.
Since the stakes weren't perfectly straight, I cut the rungs in graduated lengths and tweaked to make them fit the curves. Be sure to pre-drill the screw holes, especially in old, dry wood that is likely to split. I also countersunk the screws to make them less visible. You can see more of the tutorial and the finished ladder on my blog.
