What beautiful blooms! Never heard of a peony tree before.

That is beautiful & I love the Peony but it wouldn't live in Florida. I remember Peony bushes in PA but not trees. No matter what it is lovely.

A tree peony is actually a bush. The woody stems don't die back in winter like normal herbaceous peonies do.

I love mine too....but remember wondering if the money I paid for it would be worth the flowers. Fortunately, it has thrived and blooms every year.

You are correct Walter....the blooms are quite spectaular but short lived...planted this for my Mother 25 some years ago and it rewards every year...though it is a brief reward.
